Learning Outcomes (LOs)
After the completion of the programme, participants will know the entire process of obtaining a National professional qualification for a forestry harvester. They will have the knowledge of equipment gained from the rulebook on the minimum conditions that contractors work in the forests. The practical knowledge gained will be prepatory work, determining the felling direction in relation to the centre of gravity of the tree, making the cut and under sawing, nipping, cutting and all the sawing phases.

Completion of elementary school and being over the age of 18 are the entry requirements for participants who are interested in acquiring the NPK (National professional qualification) forestry cutter. Additionally each participant must bring their own equipment. Recommended for participants who have completed a two day course of chainsaw handling and have some experience in wood cutting. The participants will be informed with preparatory work, determining the felling direction in relation to the centre of gravity of the tree, making the cut and the under sawing, nipping, cutting and sawing phases
